Auf der RE6 Leipzig-Chemnitz ist aktuell dieser Ersatzzug der BRB aus dem Netz Ammersee-Altmühltal im Einsatz, da aufgrund der immer noch nicht gelieferten Batteriezüge von Alstom ein akuter Triebwagenmangel auf der Linie herrscht. Hier steht er gerade an seinem Stammgleis 23 im Leipziger Hauptbahnhof.
