Die Länderbahn GmbH (DLB) The Länderbahn GmbH (DLB), until 2015 Vogtlandbahn GmbH, is a company of Regentalbahn AG, which in turn belongs to the Netinera Group. It operates transport services in the federal states of Bavaria and Saxony with the brands alex, oberpfalzbahn, trilex, vogtlandbahn and waldbahn.
SWEG Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH SWEG Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH is a transport company that operates bus and train services in Baden-Württemberg and was founded in 1962.
In recent years, SWEG took over the following four companies: Ortenau-S-Bahn GmbH (OSB) in 2014 and Breisgau-S-Bahn GmbH (BSB) in 2017 (both originally subsidiaries of SWEG), Hohenzollerische Landesbahn AG (HzL) in 2018 and Abellio Rail Baden-Württemberg GmbH (ABRB) in 2022, which is now called SWEG Bahn Stuttgart GmbH (SBS). Except for the latter, all other names continue to exist as brands to this day.
Transdev Regio Ost (TDRO) The Transdev Regio Ost GmbH (TDRO) operates railway lines in the state of Saxony, formerly also in Saxony-Anhalt, under the brand “Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn” (MRB). Founded in 2001 as “Connex Sachsen”, it initially operated services under the name “Lausitzbahn”. In November 2008, the company was renamed in Veolia Verkehr Regio Ost (VVRO) and the MRB operations began in December 2009, including on the Leipzig S-Bahn until 2013. Eventually Transdev took over the company.
RheinCargo GmbH & Co. KG RheinCargo GmbH & Co. KG operates freight transport in Germany and is also the operator of one of the largest inland port operations in Europe. It was founded in 2012 as a joint venture between Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln AG (HGK) and Neuss-Düsseldorfer Häfen GmbH & Co. KG (NDH). Before RheinCargo was founded, all vehicles were owned by HGK.
