The DB Standstandsmanegemt (SSM) manages parked locomotives, wagons and railcars that are no (longer) needed by Deutsche Bahn. These parked trains are offered for sale or scrapped if there is no interest. Sometimes parked trains are put back into operation by the DB itself.
